Balancing Act
This is Balancing Act, a minigame about keeping objects from falling below the screen using your cursor! This is part of my 2022 series of minigames project, The Arcade.
WARNING: Expect the jankiest physics this side of Skyrim. I put this together in three days after two bouts of insomnia haha
How to Play
Spacebar - Start the level
Moving your cursor - Moves the black ball that collides with the falling object to prevent it from falling to the pit below
Menu button (upper left-hand corner) - Opens the list of levels you can play
Leaderboard button (lower left-hand corner) - Lets you submit your best time for the current level (each level has a separate leaderboard)
Finishing a level (which just means eventually dropping the object) will let you unlock the next one.

The concept of this game is pretty cool. It would have been great to see this game with some added visual effects and a camera shake to bump up the feel. The clean and minimal look gives quite a charming look, but you need to think of a factor to increase retention and make the player immersed in the gameplay.
Thanks for the feedback! I was hesitant about camera effects was because it would disrupt the player experience; camera shake when you're carefully balancing objects is something of a hindrance. Some extra visual effects, for sure, would go a long way: Some chroma split effects as the falling balls hit the objects would fit the overall theme nicely.
Yeah okay, that sounds great!
